STEVE GILBERT ADDRESSES NEWQUAY TOWN RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION1.56.58pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 24th May 2010
In one of his first engagements as the new MP, Steve Gilbert addressed the Newquay Town Residents Association meeting. Since the formation of the Residents Association two years ago, Steve has worked closely with its members to address their concerns over the problems caused by the night-time economy in the town. Speaking after the meeting, Steve Gilbert said: "The Residents Association is a great example of local people coming together to help create a better town and I'm pleased to have worked closely with them over the last couple of years. "As the new MP I will continue to campaign on the issues that matter to people and work closely with all of Newquay's residents association. "We have a chance now to use our influence to change Newquay for the better."
