Stephen Gilbert, the Prospective MP for St Austell & Newquay, has welcomed the decision of the cross-party Implementation Executive to abandon the new Cornwall Council logo and stick with the traditional Cornish emblem.

Stephen Gilbert said "As a Cornishman born and bred I am fiercely proud of our heritage and identity, and I'm really choughed that common sense has prevailed and Cornwall 's proper logo is back."
